We are so pleased that Maggie’s has been chosen as one of four charities to benefit from this year’s Telegraph Christmas Charity Appeal.
Between now and January 2022, the newspaper and its website will feature stories about us from many of our ambassadors, architects, designers, landscapers, and of course people we support.
They talk about what Maggie’s means to them and letting more people across the UK know about the work we do to support people with cancer.
We have been delighted by some of the stories already featured, including interviews with some of our centre architects – Alex de Rijke, Amanda Levete and Lord Norman Foster, talking about how they created places of calm and light and hope for people with cancer and their families.
Last year The Telegraph’s Christmas Charity Appeal raised an impressive £836,692 for the four charities chosen and we hope that this year their readers will continue to be as generous and supportive.
One of the key fundraising activities of the appeal is the charity phone-in day, which this year will be on Sunday 12 December, when – between 10am and 6pm – readers can call a member of the Telegraph staff and make a credit or debit card donation.
Over the past few years we have seen an increased need for our support to people living with cancer, those newly diagnosed, and carers, family and friends of people with cancer.
To be one of the chosen charities for the Telegraph Christmas Appeal will not only help us financially to continue to offer our support across the UK but will also help raise awareness of the work we do and hopefully reach more people that need our support the most.
