Brighton Marathon 2026

The race

The race starts at Preston Park and has fabulous views of Brighton's most iconic landmarks including the South Lanes, the oldest Sealife Centre in the world and Brighton Bandstand. The course mainly hugs the shoreline running past the Royal Pavilion, Old Steine and Brighton Pier before your triumphant finish at Beach Village!

Running for Maggie's

• Get your place in the Brighton Marathon and sign up to run for Maggie's
• Fundraise a minimum of £450 for Maggie's in the run up to the run. Our dedicated fundraising team will offer you tips and ideas to help you reach your target.

We will support you every step of the way and help you cross the finish line. Here is some of the support you will receive:

• a high performance running vest
• a visit round your local Maggie's centre
• one of the loudest cheer points on the route cheering you on
• continued support with your training and fundraising.

Did you get lucky in the official Brighton Marathon ballot? If you got your own place, we would love for you to run for Maggie's.

When cancer turns life upside down, Maggie’s is here. All our expert support is free to anyone with cancer and their family and friends.

By joining us at the Brighton Marathon, you are helping us to ensure people with cancer get the support they need.

£200 will pay for four family dealing with cancer to see one of our psychologists and receive support in dealing with difficult emotions together

£500 can pay for a man to attend a weekly support group to help men with cancer share their experiences and emotions
