Kitchen Table Day ideas

Here are a few ideas of what you could do around your kitchen table to support Maggie's:

  • Hold a bake sale – if you know a star baker, why not test them with a virtual bake off and raffle off the top bakes
  • Afternoon tea delivery – drop-off bespoke goodie bags and boxes of treats to your friends and family for a fee
  • Drive-by sale – Whether it’s cakes, crafts or clothes, sell your magnificent goods safely outside your home
  • Cook-along – host a virtual or socially-distanced cookalong with a ticket price to join in
  • Mystery box meal – create a box of ingredients Masterchef-style and charge entry for the box and to compete
  • Virtual film night – pick your favourite film and have your very own film night with friends and family. Charge a fee to send popcorn and themed snacks to those joining in
  • Knit and natter – whatever your passion or hobby, gather your craft loving friends or group together socially-distanced or virtually to fundraise. Sell off your finished articles
  • Tabletop sale – Whether it’s cakes, crafts or clothes, sell your magnificent goods for your local Maggie’s
  • Virtual 'Come Dine with Me' – each person takes a turn to send their recipes for a three-course meal for everyone else to recreate at home, have a virtual awards ceremony at end of the week for whose recipes were the best. Charge a fee to enter or even per vote.
  • Board game night – everyone loves game time, and for a price everyone can have a seat at the table, online or in person
  • Virtual cocktail making – or mocktail making. If it’s good enough for Tom Cruise, it’s good enough to fundraise for Maggie’s.

£100

covers the cost of a ‘Getting Started’ session, helping someone with cancer learn to manage their diagnosis and treatment.
