Centre:

Maggie's, Yorkshire

Position:

Centre Head

I look after the running of the centre and make sure my team and I are providing the best possible cancer support.

I have over 20 years’ experience as a nurse. I specialised in Cancer Nursing as an Upper Gastrointestinal Clinical Nurse Specialist, and I became the Lead Cancer Nurse for a busy Teaching Hospital. I joined Maggie’s when the centre opened in Yorkshire in 2019.

I’m here to listen, to help you talk things over and to find the information and support that’s right for you and your family.

I have been a Counselling Psychologist for more than 15 years, and I joined Maggie’s Yorkshire in 2021.

I can help if things are getting on top of you, if you're scared, worried or feeling down.

We can talk about things in a safe and supportive space, and you can see me in private, in a group or with your family.

I give one-to-one information and support and will guide you through the parts of our support that are most appropriate to you. I also run many of our support groups, workshops, and courses.

Designed for you

Our beautiful centre was built in 2019. Drawing upon Maggie's philosophy and the belief that great design can help people feel better, Maggie's Yorkshire uses several 'healthy' materials and energy-saving techniques to create spaces that are perfect for the delivery of our cancer support.
